As with most railway enthusiasts, whatever era whatever country, I cursed having missed the best of South African steam fantastic locomotives in the most dramatic scenary of any country I have visited. I made only one visit as family responsibilities were growing. The visit did include some industrial sites where some classes extinct on sSAR could still be found.
