In February and March 2011 I took part in a crazy circumnavigation of India by rail, mainly in aid of charity. It took fourteen days and covered 14,000 plus kilometres using an Indrail Pass. Although not designed for rail enthusiasts I managed to ride on and photograph the Himalaya and Darjeeling line for the first time since 1983. We also visited Tipong Colliery where there is a 2' gauge railway
